Game Review - Knights of the Old Republic II

Today's review is of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords. Part of the Old Republic series that covers the first Knights of the Old Republic (from here on just called KotOR) and the upcoming The Old Republic MMORPG, this series really helped to pull people into the Star Wars environment and gave you a choice to walk the path of light, or the path of dark.

Game Review - New Super Mario Bros Wii

Today's review is New Super Mario Bros. Wii, or as the game calls it, "New Super Mario Brothers, Wii-HII!!!!!" And this game really is a mixed bag for me. Allow me to explain the backstory for this game. A friend of mine picked this game up, called me up and said he wanted to get me and my other friend together and play the multiplayer on the game, I was fired up, said yeah and we all got together and played this game, I didn't play all the game, but together, we all compelted this game in under a day (excluding the secret world). So how does it stack up? Read on to see...

Batman Forever Movie Review

Since I reviewed a good Batman game, I thought I would review a bad Batman movie to follow up. While it's not as bad as Batman & Robin, it's still pretty painful, so today's review is of:

What can be considered the second worst Batman movie of the original Batman franchise started by Tim Burton, Batman Forever, while not as horrid as Batman & Robin, is still pretty bad. Changing directors from Burton to Joel Shumacher was not the wisest choice for Warner Brothers to make, because the series changes from a dark Gothic story to a campy goofball story with offensive colorings and overacting that only Jim Carrey can master. I'll be reviewing section of the movie before giving a final score that's not an average.

Batman Arkham Asylum Review

Batman Arkham Asylum Review

Superhero games are a tricky business. Good superhero games are rare. They range from good to average to bad and forgettable. Good superhero games that come to mind are the original Batman game on the original Nintendo, which was a Ninja Gaiden clone, Spider-Man 2 on the Playstation 2, and a couple more. Of course, there's never been a good Superman game. But now we have what could be THE definitive Batman game ever made. While the original NES game was a side scrolling action game that just had a Batman theme and not really a Batman feel to it, but AA has the feel, the look, and the sound.

Overrated Overview

Why Final Fantasy VII is overrated?

To begin with, let me say that I am a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, and I love VII in particular. Final Fantasy VII was the first in the series of Final Fantasy that I played, and one of the first RPGs I ever played as well, so it left a major impression on me.

However, for all my love of VII, I know that the game is heavily overrated as well. But in someways this overrated state is but justified and overblown.

What was good about Final Fantasy VII? It changed RPGs.

What was bad about Final Fantasy VII? It changed RPGs.

Final Fantasy VII is the game that brought RPGs into the mainstream of gaming. The game also created a ton of clones and copies (some good, some bad).  Also popular became the use of giant oversized swords and anime-styled characters.
